The Shinigami of Soul Society themselves were antagonists at one point, but all of this changed as the Soul Society arc progressed. Creating a portal to warp from one reality to another is no mean feat. Only extremely powerful Arrancar can master this feat, and it’s easy to see why Grimmjow should get some credit for pulling this off.
Creating a Garganta to travel from Hueco Mundo to other realms is called Descorrer. Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Grimmjow’s powers.
9 Pesquisa
Detecting an enemy is critical to take them down, and the Arrancar can do this pretty easily. Grimmjow and the others can use an ability called Pesquisa that allows them to do the same.
The fact that this ability lets the Arrancar detect targets from a distance is certainly quite admirable. However, this ability doesn’t really do any direct damage… even if it might aid in this cause.
8 Hierro
Sometimes, the best offense is a good defense. Grimmjow and the other Arrancar understand this, sporting defensive abilities to let them tank certain attacks if they’re unable to avoid damage.

A Shinigami absolutely must master Shunpo to be on the same level as their combatants in terms of speed. This technique is basic and a must-learn for most Shinigami, especially due to how much agility a user can obtain with this move.
So, the fact that an Arrancar’s Sonido is even faster proves just how impressive this ability is. Grimmjow can use this ability to dodge oncoming attacks and close the distance before unleashing his devastating moves.
6 Cero
Cero is a term that many people are already pretty familiar with. This ball of spiritual energy is a technique that only Hollows can use, allowing them to shoot these Cero at their enemies to take them down.
Grimmjow is more than capable of using this technique, giving him a great ranged technique to pair his close-combat skills. Of course, the upgraded version of this technique is something that many people fear.
5 Resurreccion (Grind)
Grimmjow has a second form that is shown when he utters the true name of his Zankaputo, Grind. This allows him to assume a form that is more in line with his previous appearance as a pure Hollow before having the privilege to become an Arrancar.
His strength, speed, and defense are all augmented in this state, allowing him to fight at a higher level. If that wasn’t bad enough as is, he also gets access to a wide suite of moves to help him take down his opponents quicker.
4 Sonic Wave
While this ability is unnamed, it’s an attack used enough times to warrant a spot on this list. Grimmjow becomes so powerful after his Resurreccion that his very voice doubles as an attack move.
Roaring in this form allows him to create a Sonic Wave that pushes enemies behind. It’s a great move that lets him distract his enemies before closing down on them to bring a world of hurt.
3 Garra De La Pantera
After transforming, Grimmjow can use an attack called Garra de la Pantera. This roughly translates to Claws of the Panther and packs a rather explosive punch.
Garra de la Pantera lets Grimmjow unleash a set of five high-speed bombs that explode on contact for massive damage. This attack hits like a truck, and Ichigo needed extremely fast reflexes to prevent getting incapacitated by this attack.
2 Gran Rey Cero
The Gran Rey Cero is a powerful technique in any Espada’s arsenal, allowing them to use an overpowered version of a Cero that can hit for massive damage. Grimmjow was able to use this technique and brought about a ton of destruction with a single use.
Aizen banned this technique from even being used in Las Noches, proving just how dangerous this move really is. Anyone who gets caught in the full force of this blast will be sent to an early grave.
1 Desgarron
The fact that Grimmjow himself calls Desgarron his most powerful attack is proof enough of just how powerful this move really is. This attack manifests ten blades made from spiritual energy that emerge from each of Grimmjow’s fingers.
He can move these blades at will, with the full force of this attack being quite hefty indeed. It’s a miracle that Ichigo managed to survive the full brunt of this attack since a single misstep would’ve led to an early grave for this protagonist.
