Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan took to Reddit to confirm that Blizzard will be fixing the Ashe Halloween skin by making her scope less bright. Kaplan shared an image of what Warlock Ashe’s new scope will look like, showing that it maintains the new shape but no longer limits visibility. Kaplan was unable to provide a timetable as to when this fix will be implemented, but one has to imagine that it will be in Overwatch sooner rather than later.

While some may be disappointed that the new Ashe Halloween skin actually gives them a disadvantage in the game right now, they can at least check out some of the other skins. Many of the new Overwatch Halloween skins are in loot boxes, but others can be earned by winning matches, like the Demon Hunter Sombra skin, for example.
In the meantime, there may be some huge Overwatch news coming very soon. BlizzCon 2019 is set to take place on November 1, and it’s there where Blizzard is expected to reveal the future of all its major franchises. This includes Overwatch, with rumors claiming that Blizzard is going to reveal Overwatch 2, which will apparently have a PvE focus. Those same rumors have compared Overwatch 2 to Left 4 Dead, and it will be interesting to see if there’s any truth behind those claims.
Even if Overwatch 2 is announced, fans should expect Blizzard to keep supporting the original game. This will include the Winter Wonderland event later this year, which will bring with it its own set of skins to unlock. Hopefully those skins are released without any issues similar to the one plaguing the Warlock Ashe Halloween skin.
Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
