Following an arbitration meeting on Aug. 4, Blues restricted free agent defenseman Joel Edmundson was awarded a one-year contract worth $3.1 million on Tuesday. According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the Blues were looking for closer to $2.3 million, while Edmundson wanted $4.2 million. The Blizzard Albany studio, formerly known as Vicarious Visions, filed a petition to unionize with the National Labor Relations Board on Thursday that will potentially see the 20-person staff of QA Testers at the Call of Duty support studio form a new union within Activision Blizzard. This time around, however, Blizzard has sent a very strong message to those willing to overstep their boundaries in World of Warcraft by issuing a ban that’ll impact over 100,000 players. Taking to the game’s official forums, a community manager issued a statement on the bans. According to Blizzard, the widespread banning is a result of players using bots to put their characters through various tasks while they’re not actually playing....

This week, Blizzard reiterated its plans to drop support for Windows XP and Windows Vista from October 2017. That means that games like World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Diablo 3 won’t be playable on systems running those operating systems from that time onward.
